Personalized Insulation Packages
Every home is different. Our team builds your insulation package to fit your needs and to maximize the efficiency of each product we use.
Total Job Responsibility
We stand behind our quality of work. The insulation we deliver meets high standards. If anything is wrong with our work, we can be held accountable for it.
More Than Code Compliance
Our installations not only meet building codes, but also pass blower door tests. We create an airtight seal to maximize energy efficiency in your new home.
Give Your Thermal Envelope An Airtight Seal
Your exterior walls are the main barrier between the outside elements and the comfort of your home. To make this barrier as effective as possible, you need an airtight seal. Without an airtight seal, heat exchanges from inside and outside whenever air leaks.
Spray foam insulation in your exterior walls ensures that the conditioned air you'll be paying for stays where it belongs: inside the walls of your home.
Homeowners experience a 30% to 60% reduction in energy costs by insulating with spray foam.
Our Work, From Start To Finish
Insulating with spray foam is more involved process than traditional insulation. However, homeowners net significantly better results in energy usage, comfort, and air quality. Here are the steps our crew takes to insulate a new construction home.
Prep
Before insulating anything, the home needs to be prepped. Our team covers any finished assets like windows, doors, or floors. We also air-seal small gaps and cracks with can foam and caulking.
Insulate
We spray every area of the thermal envelope with spray foam insulation. This generally includes walls and ceilings, but the design of every home is different. We also install batt insulation in interior walls for sound attenuation.
Clean
After installing the insulation, our crew cleans. We remove prep work covers and dispose of any trash. We leave our jobsites in better condition than when we arrived, and hand back control of the project to the general contractor.

Why Choose Spray Foam Over Fiberglass
Fiberglass batt insulation is one of the most popular insulation options. Compared to spray foam, fiberglass is also an affordable insulation option. If fiberglass has a comparable R-value to spray foam, why should you splurge on a more expensive insulation product?
R-value is only one metric to gauge insulation performance. An insulation with a high R-value can prevent conductive heat transfer. However, heat also travels through convection and radiation: through the air.
Unlike fiberglass insulation, spray foam offers an airtight seal. Air-sealing your home will prevent heat from exchanging uncontrollably. While spray foam has a higher price tag, it also has higher performance.

New Construction Insulation FAQs
When Should I Decide On The Insulation For My New Home?
It is ideal to have a decision about the type of insulation you want by the time you are framing your house.
Where In My Home Do I Have To Insulate?
In order to meet building codes, different areas of your home must be insulated. However, within that building code, you have options based on how you'll use your home.
An example is basement insulation. You must insulate your basement for code compliance, but you can choose between insulating the walls or the ceiling. You will not insulate both.
What's A Blower Door Test? Do I Need To Pass One?
A blower door test measures the number of air exchanges per hour (ACH) in a home. For a new construction home with an airtight seal, ACH should be low.
The goal of a spray foam insulated home is to prevent air leakage. If your new home is insulated by our team at South Central Services, you home should pass a blower door test. We are also certified to offer blower door tests.
Do You Install Fiberglass Batts For New Construction Homes?
South Central Services recommends fiberglass batts and similar batting for sound attenuation purposes. The best use of fiberglass in new construction is for interior wall insulation.
Every home and budget is different, so our team will work with you to find the right insulation solution. Your insulation package will be unique to your home.
