Are you considering working with our team at South Central Services? We’ve insulated hundreds of homes with spray foam. We’d be happy to work with you to insulate your project.

Before you reach out to our team, let’s walk through the process of hiring our crew to insulate your space.

First, We Discuss Your Job.

Whether you call our office or fill out the form on our website, we’ll need some details about your job. You might be surprised by how much information we need to start the process!

When you have us on the phone, we’ll confirm things like:

  • Project dimensions
  • Type of work
  • Type of insulation
  • Job timeline

There are some details you don’t have to be certain about. For example, you may not have settled on which type of attic insulation you want. However, we’ll still want some general information about the dimensions of your attic.

You’re also welcome to ask questions during this phone call. We’ll take note of these questions and pass them along to our insulation specialist to discuss with you in more detail.

Next, We May Schedule A Site Visit.

If your job requires a site visit, we’ll call you to find an ideal time. One of our insulation specialists will visit to take measurements and discuss your root problems in person.

Site visits take anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour. When we leave the site, our goal is to have answered your questions and have the exact dimensions we need to proceed.

We Send A Quote For You To Approve.

Once we have the necessary information, we generate a unique quote for your project. Within 3 to 5 business days after your site visit, you’ll receive an email from our team. In that email, there will be a link to review your quote.

Your quote will look similar to the example below.

We create your quote based on your needs and the discussions we have had.

For example, open cell and closed cell spray foam have different rates per board foot. If we’ve discussed using open cell spray foam, your quote will be specific to open cell.

If You Approve Your Quote, We Schedule Your Job.

After you accept your spray foam quote, we will be able to put your job on the schedule. When your job is scheduled depends on a variety of factors, including:

  • How soon do you need your insulation installed?
  • Are the weather conditions favorable for your project?
  • What other work is already on our schedule?

We do our best to adhere to more restricted timelines. However, the sooner you contact us, the better. The more notice we have, the more flexibility we have to rearrange our schedule.

Our Team Preps, Sprays, And Cleans Up According To Schedule.

When the time comes for your insulation to be installed, our crew arrives with the rig. Depending on the insulation being installed, we may bring a box truck or a truck with a trailer rig.

Our rigs are self-sufficient, so we will not need to connect to your utilities.

After we arrive, we begin prepping the space for installing insulation. This step may also include air-sealing, such as around windows or wood joints. In situations where drywall will be installed, we scrape any spray foam overspray from the face of the studs.

Once the insulation has been installed, we clean up the job site. We are always careful to leave a space better than we found it. Reviewers often comment on how clean we leave our job sites.

What Does Prep Work Look Like For A Spray Foam Job?

Prep work for a spray foam job could include removing existing insulation, taping off, and covering things with plastic.

In a new construction home, any finished elements like windows, doors, or flooring are carefully covered to avoid overspray. Smaller elements like outlet boxes are also taped off.

In attic and crawl space jobs, there is usually existing insulation that we must remove before we can begin spraying.

How Long Does It Take To Install Spray Foam Insulation?

In a residential setting, the spray foam installation timeline is between 1 day and 2 weeks. That timeline depends on the amount of prep work, the size of the job, and the type of job.

Your Invoice Is Due Upon The Completion Of The Job.

On the last day of installation, after our crew has cleaned up the space, payment is due.

Technically, you should hand a check to the installer on the last day there. However, if you are off-site at the completion of your job, you can promptly pay your bill online or drop by our office with a check.

If you have additional projects in the future or any questions about your insulation, you are welcome to contact us. We are always willing to address concerns. Our team is trained to deliver effective insulation, and if there is a problem with our installation, we will correct our work at no cost to you.
