If you’re putting insulation in your pole building, you want it done right. You want the right products installed correctly so your pole building will last.

South Central Services has insulated hundreds of residential and commercial buildings. In Franklin County and Fulton County, pole buildings are popular structures.

Let’s explore the top 10 reasons why customers in our service area trust us to handle their pole building insulation.

Don't have time to read right now? Check out everything you need to know at a glance.

1. We Pay Attention To The Little Things.

No two pole buildings are the same. Even with the same dimensions, pole buildings have different purposes. Garages, workshops, homes, and storage sheds are just a few examples.

How you plan to use the space will influence the insulation you need. Our solutions are as unique as the pole buildings we insulate. We will learn everything relevant about your building and your plans to make the right insulation plan.

2. We Have Experience Insulating Pole Buildings.

In our service area, people love to put up pole buildings. They are an inexpensive way to create storage or a workspace. Because we live and work in an area with so many pole buildings, we have a good deal of experience insulating them.

Our team has successfully insulated numerous pole buildings in many different ways for a variety of end results. Not only do we pay attention to the details, but we’ve probably seen and insulated a pole building similar to yours.

3. We Are Driven By Results And Data.

Our team insulates buildings for function. The end result of your pole building insulation matters to us. We don’t care about what is popular or commonly used. We care about what works.

Both Zeshan and I spend significant amounts of our time becoming more knowledgeable about insulation. We are never satisfied with the information that we have. The goal is always to learn and understand more. As we pursue learning and pass this knowledge on to our crews, our team is better able to deliver insulation with data on its side.

4. We Maximize The Performance Of Insulation Products.

One of the things that Zeshan and I have learned a lot about is how to maximize insulation performance. While properly installing insulation plays a big part in how well the insulation performs, other things can be done to support the insulation.

South Central Services installed blown-in cellulose insulation for this attic in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Many contractors install blown-in insulation in pole building ceilings without an airtight seal. The blown-in product can contribute R-value and slow conductive heat transfer, but it is powerless against air leakage. When we insulate with blown-in, we pair it with an air-seal to maximize its performance.

One of the most common mistakes we see is part of the pole building ceiling left uninsulated but without a barrier to contain the blown-in insulation. Without this barrier, blown-in insulation travels to the uninsulated area of the ceiling. The R-value is compromised and settling occurs much more quickly.

Whether it’s an airtight seal, doing the baffles correctly, or putting up a barrier, our team always asks how we can achieve the most performance from an insulation product.

5. We Are Concerned With Your Insulation’s Longevity.

You probably don’t want to spend money periodically updating your pole building insulation. Likely, you want to make a one-time purchase that will last.

Our goal is to deliver long-term performance. When we make your insulation plan, we’re asking questions like, “How will this installation perform in 5 to 10 years?”

Working with our team means maximized performance for the long term.

6. We Thoroughly Prep Our Job Sites For Spray Foam.

Spray foam insulation is a premium product for pole buildings that requires thorough prep work. Sometimes, overspray isn’t a huge concern. For example, overspray in a hidden part of your pole building that doesn’t disrupt aesthetics or function isn’t something to worry about.

However, we’ve seen first-hand some projects where prep was done haphazardly and overspray was left on all kinds of things. Some of these problems are not easily reversed and can be easily avoided with proper prep.

Our crews thoroughly prep spaces before spraying. Finished elements like garage doors and their mechanics must be covered with plastic. Any doors and windows need to be protected from overspray. Even the floor could be an area that requires effective coverage.

We prefer to do things right the first time and to avoid the headache of repair work. In the rare case that overspray would land somewhere it doesn’t belong, we take responsibility for scraping it off.

7. We Use Premium Insulation Products.

Our team installs blown-in cellulose rather than blown-in fiberglass because it delivers a better performance. We also spray premium spray foam products.

We do not use unregulated spray products, and we stay informed about what products on the market are unregulated. We do our due diligence to ensure that we understand the products we spray and what foams are available.

8. We Maintain Rigs With State-Of-The-Art Equipment.

When it comes to spray foam insulation, the success of the foam has a lot to do with the equipment that installs it. This is one reason why we don’t recommend DIY spray foam. But even when you’re working with professional contractors, not every rig has state-of-the-art equipment.

The chemical reaction to create spray foam has many variables that must be maintained and monitored. We invest heavily in our rigs to ensure the results are right. Our teams also take care to maintain this equipment and to keep the rigs clean.

9. We Maintain Constant Communication About Your Job.

Not only do we have experience with pole buildings and work to deliver functional insulation, but our team also stays in contact with you throughout the process.

Some contractors are difficult to get ahold of and don’t keep you apprised of the timeline. At South Central Services, we prioritize staying in touch with you about your job.

If your job needs to be rescheduled, we give you a call to discuss a better date. Once we’re on-site, the head of our crew is available to speak with you directly. We try to communicate throughout the project as we work aggressively to deliver your insulation.

10. We Have Extensive Knowledge On Conditioning Buildings.

Another thing that sets South Central Services apart from other insulation companies is our history. Zeshan and I spent years working in refrigeration and HVAC before learning about and starting an insulation company. That work experience directly translates into knowledge about how to condition a building.

We understand the implications of more insulation versus less insulation. We know how to work with an HVAC system to find the proper amount of insulation. We also understand the importance of air-sealing to prevent air leakage and wasted energy.
